In addition to 16 school districts, Beaver County has the following colleges/universities within its borders:
Penn State Beaver Campus - This 100 acre campus is located in Monaca, Pennsylvania at 100 University Drive. It was established in 1965, and enrolls approximately 800 students and houses approximately 310. This campus offers the first two years of nearly all of Penn State University's 180 baccalaureate degree majors, in addition to 5 associate degree majors. In addition, this campus now offers four year degrees in Applied Psychology, Business, Communications, and Information Sciences and Technology.
Geneva College - located in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. This college provides a Christian based education in the liberal arts and sciences. They offer more than 30 majors, three pre-professional programs, five graduate programs, and accelerated adult programs.
Community College of Beaver County (CCBC)- For over 30 years, this college has been providing accessible and affordable higher education and training to the citizens of Beaver County and surrounding areas. This college is a two-year associate-degree granting public institution, and also provides GED programs, as well as non-credit continuing education programs.
Also, while not located in Beaver County, The Robert Morris University is a 30 minute drive from most parts of Beaver County. Robert Morris is located in Moon Township, Pennsylvania on a 230 acre campus and provides Undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral programs.
