The Beaver County Library System, founded in 1971, serves 15 school districts through its eleven member libraries and bookmobile. The bookmobile provides public library access to county residents living in municipalities that do not have a local public library. Each system member library retains its own budget and authority. County, state and federal funding support the system.

Member libraries of Beaver County Library system include B.F. Jones Memorial Library, Baden Memorial Library, Beaver Area Memorial Library, Carnegie Free Library, Carnegie Library of Midland, Monaca Public Library, New Brighton Public Library, Rochester Public Library, Bookmobile & Chippewa Information Center, and Laughlin Memorial Library.

Beaver county library system offers Best Sellers, Paperbacks, Large Print Books Magazines & Newspapers, Teacher Concept Kits, Videos, Audio Cassettes, Compact Discs, Inter-library Loan, Family Activities, BiFolkal Kits, Demonstrations & Talks Story Hours, Summer Reading Program, Activities for School-age Children, National Library Week Activities, Senior Citizen Activities, Book Discussion Groups, Internet Access, Reference Service, Database Searching, Business Information, Career Information, Computers for Public Use, Fax Service, Copy Machines, Meeting Rooms, and Exhibits and Displays to the community of beaver county.
